Take Charge of Your Bill Day

Published: 26 September 2014

Would you like to reduce your energy costs? The Switch On team is coming to Fed Square to show you how.

Take Charge of Your Bill Day, hosted by Mix 101.1 radio presenter Chrissie Swan, is your chance to speak to independent energy experts who will give you tips on how you can take charge of your power bill. They will be giving demonstrations of the Victorian Government’s My Power Planner tool, which allows you to compare all generally available electricity offers and find the best deal for you. They will also be able to help you understand your bill, and how to increase energy efficiency in your home.

The Minister for Energy and Resources, Russell Northe, will be attending to talk about what the Government is doing to help reduce energy costs for Victorian consumers. The Energy and Water Ombudsman will also be available to chat and answer questions.

Come along to Take Charge of Your Bill Day and see what you can do to reduce your energy costs. In addition to the energy experts, you can limbo with Bill, the My Power Planner mascot. People of all ages can dance to the music and see how low they can go on stage with Chrissie and Bill. Children can also display their artistic flair in a mascot colouring competition.
